Shares of Gates Industrial Corp PLC (GTES) surged 6.09% during intraday trading on Friday, after the company reported second-quarter results that exceeded analyst expectations and raised its full-year outlook.
The power transmission products maker posted adjusted earnings of $0.44 per share, up from $0.39 a year earlier and above the FactSet consensus estimate of $0.42. Revenue climbed 6.6% to $941.6 million, also topping the $925.4 million forecast. Adjusted EBITDA came in at $211.4 million, beating the $204.2 million estimate.
Looking ahead, Gates lifted its fiscal 2026 adjusted earnings guidance to a range of $1.62 to $1.70 per share, up from the prior $1.52 to $1.68 and surrounding the analyst consensus of $1.64. The company also raised its core sales growth outlook to 2.5%–4.5% and tightened its adjusted EBITDA forecast to $800–$830 million, citing improving order momentum and strengthening industrial demand.
