MOON INC (01723) Subsidiary to Further Acquire 4.22% Stake in Asia Strategy Partners LLC

Stock News11-17

MOON INC (01723) announced that following its subsidiary Moon Investment Korea Limited's previous acquisition of a 2.97% stake in Asia Strategy Partners LLC for $1.2 million (approximately HK$9.384 million as of the announcement date), the subsidiary has entered into a subscription agreement with fund manager Sora Ventures on November 17, 2025. Under the agreement, the subsidiary will acquire an additional 4.22% stake in the fund for $1.7547 million (approximately HK$13.686 million).

The group aims to expand its business presence in Asia, leveraging South Korea's advanced digital economy, widespread cashless payment systems, and robust fintech infrastructure. These factors create favorable conditions for introducing innovative payment products, such as prepaid Bitcoin cards.

Given that the fund's investment in Bitplanet focuses on integrated security software and IT solutions, MOON INC views this transaction as a strategic entry point into the South Korean market. The company expects the investment to strengthen its strategic position in Korea by fostering collaboration, enhancing operational synergies, and accelerating the integration of Bitplanet's technological capabilities and customer network.

This move is anticipated to facilitate cooperation with Bitplanet, which maintains close ties with business partners in the fintech sector. These innovative fintech platforms could serve as potential partners for the group's prepaid product business.
