US President Donald Trump has shown no intention of abandoning his plan to annex Greenland. The Prime Minister of Greenland has advised citizens to prepare for a potential military invasion, although he stated such a scenario is unlikely. Spot gold reached $4,781.19 per ounce.
Spot gold climbed 0.3% to $4,775.40 per ounce; silver rose 0.3% to $94.8940 per ounce. The Bloomberg Dollar Index fell 0.1%. Platinum prices edged slightly lower, while palladium prices remained unchanged.
