On July 18, the 10th round of the 2026 Guangdong Provincial City Football Super League regular season was successfully held at the Maoming Olympic Sports Center Stadium, where the Maoming team defeated the Zhuhai team 2-1.
With this, the regular season matches for the Guangdong BA and Guangdong Super League in the Maoming division have concluded. To ensure the safety and order of the events, Maoming police deployed scientific forces and precise prevention measures, successfully completing security operations for 9 matches of the Guangdong BA and Guangdong Super League.
A total of more than 11,000 police personnel were mobilized to fully implement overall prevention, order maintenance, traffic safety, and emergency response. During the events, no criminal or public security incidents occurred within or around the venues, accumulating experience and training teams for the security work of the provincial games and provincial para games.
In terms of organizing and deploying, the main leaders of the municipal public security bureau personally inspected the implementation of security measures at the venues multiple times and commanded from the on-site command post on several occasions. The municipal bureau's public security detachment, traffic management detachment, and Dianbai branch each refined the relevant security plans, drawing up police deployment maps, parking diagrams, and bus transfer maps to ensure clear responsibilities and division of labor.
In terms of overall prevention and control, Maoming police strictly implemented armed patrols and the "1, 3, 5 minute" rapid response mechanism, dividing control into inner and outer zones. Police forces were arranged for dynamic patrols to strengthen monitoring and control of key areas, increasing visibility, management rates, and deterrence. Anti-pickpocketing and response posts were set up to combat any illegal activities at any time.
A drone control notice was issued, and drone countermeasures were deployed to strengthen patrols against unauthorized drone flights, as well as low-altitude drone countermeasures and network security protection. Inspections of key items, key venues, and key industries were intensified to create a clean and safe social environment.
In terms of maintaining order, Maoming police strictly regulated the entry and exit security checks and personnel verification procedures at the venues. They focused on monitoring and guiding the flow of people during activities, strengthening control during sudden large crowds, and strictly preventing uncivilized behaviors such as crowding and disturbances. Minor conflicts on site were efficiently resolved to prevent safety incidents like stampedes, creating a safe and orderly atmosphere for spectators.
Spectator security checkpoints were scientifically planned, equipped with X-ray machines, security gates, handheld scanners, and ticket-checking gates, strictly implementing the "person, ticket, ID card" three-in-one security check requirement.
In terms of traffic safety, Maoming police integrated smooth traffic flow with safety, scientifically deploying traffic enforcement forces. They focused on traffic guidance, control, and hazard management on major and secondary roads around the venues, at entrance and exit sections, and in parking areas. They coordinated with relevant departments to reasonably plan roadside parking spots and parking lots, quickly handling minor traffic accidents to prevent prolonged and widespread congestion.
Maoming police released 9 traffic guidance articles on relevant official accounts and short video platforms, covering bus transfers, traffic directions, traffic control information, and parking maps, reminding the public to plan their travel in advance. They coordinated the temporary opening of construction sections on Taihe Avenue and Datong Road, improving traffic efficiency by 30%. Meetings were held with the transportation department to study bus transfer station settings and route planning, coordinating 69 buses for transfers. Traffic patrols and controls were strengthened, guiding more than 8,500 vehicles to detour, educating and dismissing over 950 illegally parked vehicles, and ensuring parking for 41,000 vehicles.
In terms of emergency response, Maoming police thoroughly investigated safety risks and hazards, improved emergency command mechanisms, strengthened emergency response measures, and fully prepared for emergency handling. Multi-department emergency coordination was deepened to continuously enhance response capabilities in complex environments, ensuring that any sudden situation is responded to, handled, and controlled immediately.
Anti-collision facilities were set up at key intersections around the venues, with police and security personnel on duty. A total of 3,500 barriers were used to enclose the venues in a closed loop, ensuring safety and order.
