Six-Day Holiday Ignites Travel Enthusiasm: Spring Break Meets Qingming Festival

Deep News04-01 12:41

April brings blooming flowers and vibrant life. Many years ago, poet Lin Huiyin captured the beauty of this month in her work "You Are the April of This World," describing it as a season of blossoms, love, warmth, and hope.

Starting April 1, students in dozens of cities across China, including Chengdu, Meishan, and Leshan, will enjoy a spring break. Combined with the Qingming Festival holiday, this creates a rare six-day continuous break, expected to significantly boost travel activity. Booking data from major platforms shows a surge in reservations for flights, train tickets, hotels, and scenic spot entries.

How will you spend this extended holiday? We are launching a photo and story contest titled "Spring Quest: My April Days," inviting users to share their spring experiences through an image and accompanying text. Capture the warmth and beauty of the season as moments converge this spring.

Participants can engage by sharing content from one or more of the following themes: - **Spring Outings**: Photograph stunning spring scenery encountered during the holiday and share the story behind the image or your feelings when capturing it. - **Qingming Flavors**: Showcase memorable traditional Qingming Festival foods that evoke nostalgia. - **Reflection and Heritage**: If returning to your hometown, photograph the journey home or meaningful heirlooms. Share warm memories of departed loved ones or your hometown, as remembrance fosters reunion.

The submission period runs from April 1 to April 6, 2026. After the contest concludes, ten outstanding entries will be featured in a dedicated article, with winners receiving an original panda plush toy.

Selection criteria include: - Clear, relevant images aligned with the theme. - Heartfelt, engaging text with storytelling appeal. - Original content; plagiarism will result in disqualification.

By submitting, participants agree to the editing and publication of their entries with credited authorship (anonymous submissions can be requested). The contest is open to all enthusiastic contributors.

As spring unfolds in its perfect timing, we look forward to your submissions. Let’s collectively piece together the most touching moments of this season.
