Pop Mart Urban Park to Unveil New Zones on April 30

Deep News04-24

On April 24, during a media briefing for Pop Mart Urban Park, Hu Jian, Vice President of Pop Mart International Group Limited and General Manager of the park, announced that the newly renovated sections will open to the public on April 30 after a year of upgrades.

Hu Jian revealed that three new themed areas centered on the popular IPs THE MONSTERS and DIMOO will be introduced, along with the park’s first large-scale amusement rides such as a drop tower and pirate ship. The updated attractions were unveiled for the first time, including Flying LABUBU, Heart-Pounding Thrills, Surprise Monster Ball Brigade, Rondo in a Dream, and Waltz on the Clouds.

Hu Jian noted that opening just before the May Day holiday presents a significant operational challenge. Since the closure of the forest area last year, especially during long holidays, many tourists traveling from other cities have been unable to enter due to limited capacity. He stated that preparations are largely complete, with 70% of the new areas ready. The park plans to open in phases to allow more visitors to experience the attractions, with a full experience expected by August.

Regarding the park’s performance, Hu Jian mentioned that specific revenue figures are not available for disclosure, but visitor growth has been strong.

He emphasized the priority of improving current operations, noting that the existing facilities have not yet reached his ideal standard and require further refinement. Additionally, the second phase of the park involves exponentially greater complexity, so the focus will remain on optimizing current offerings and planning for future expansion.

In the long term, Hu Jian expressed a vision to develop a comprehensive resort featuring multiple themed zones, commercial areas, and hotels, representing his ultimate ambition for the brand’s leisure offerings.
