European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde has revealed that some members of the Governing Council questioned whether a rate increase was necessary.
She stated that Thursday's decision by the ECB was passed unanimously.
"We unanimously decided that the current stance is sufficient to support a continued wait-and-see approach, while closely monitoring developments and the data we will receive in the coming weeks."
