According to Zhitong Finance APP, TSUGAMI CHINA (01651) shares rose over 5%, up 5.54% as of press time to HK$40.74, with a turnover of HK$25.8776 million.

On the news front, Citi issued a research report stating that the Japan Machine Tool Builders' Association published order data for major Japanese machine tool manufacturers for September 2026, showing that Tsugami Japan's export orders grew 100% year-on-year, compared to 105% in August; the month-on-month trend also improved from a 29% decline in August to a 26% increase in September, indicating that order conditions are better than market concerns.

The bank noted that Tsugami Japan stated demand in areas such as China's data centers, semiconductors, and humanoid robots remains strong, with orders continuing to exceed total production capacity, which is consistent with the statements made by TSUGAMI CHINA management. As Tsugami Japan's export orders for the first half of fiscal year 2027 (April to September 2026) grew approximately 100% year-on-year, the bank is confident that its forecast of 34% year-on-year profit growth for TSUGAMI CHINA for the first half of fiscal year 2027 ending September can be achieved, and reiterates a "Buy" rating with a target price of HK$72 amid bearish market sentiment.
