J&T EXPRESS-W (01519) shares climbed more than 5% during Thursday trading, last up 4.83% at HK$10.30 with turnover reaching HK$598 million.

According to company data, J&T Express delivered a total of 17.503 billion parcels globally in the first half of this year, marking a 25.1% year-on-year increase. Parcel volume from markets outside China accounted for 33.6% of the global total, up 9.4 percentage points from the same period last year.

As a leading express delivery and logistics provider in Southeast Asia, J&T Express maintained rapid growth in the region during the second quarter. The company processed 2.755 billion parcels in Southeast Asia, a 63.2% surge year-on-year, while first-half volumes reached 5.523 billion parcels, up 71.2% compared to the prior-year period.

Analysts at Everbright Securities have previously noted that J&T Express is currently in a phase of scale expansion alongside accelerating profitability. The company's Southeast Asian operations offer a solid competitive foundation, while emerging markets are replicating the successful playbook from Southeast Asia, positioning them as a second growth driver with parcel volume growth exceeding the brokerage's expectations. Meanwhile, anti-involution policies in the Chinese market are expected to support higher revenue per parcel, reinforcing the trend toward earnings recovery.
