On August 13, following a tightening of channel subsidies, Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd. has intensified its market control measures. Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd. recently notified dealers that the eighth-generation Wuliangye must not be sold at a price below 800 yuan per bottle, according to exclusive information from dealers and other sources. Additionally, the distillery will strengthen penalties for low-price dumping and cross-region sales to further stabilize regional order. As of press time, Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd. has not responded.
Previously, at the end of July, Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd. tightened multiple subsidy inputs for channel dealers, increasing the overall cost for dealers of the eighth-generation Wuliangye by about 50 yuan per bottle compared to before the tightening. In terms of wholesale prices, the batch price for a case of eighth-generation Wuliangye was fluctuating around 4,485 to 4,500 yuan at that time, with a per-bottle wholesale price of about 748 to 750 yuan. Due to the impact of the new policy, the batch price for a case of eighth-generation Wuliangye has now risen to approximately 4,600 to 4,650 yuan, with a per-bottle wholesale price of about 767 to 775 yuan.
