Shares of Extreme Networks (EXTR) surged over 10% in pre-market trading on Tuesday after the computer networking company reported better-than-expected results for the first quarter of fiscal 2025.
For the quarter ended September 30, Extreme Networks posted adjusted earnings per share of $0.17, easily beating Wall Street's estimate of $0.12 EPS. Revenue came in at $269.2 million, topping the consensus forecast of $260.5 million.
The strong quarterly performance was driven by solid demand for the company's networking infrastructure solutions. Looking ahead, Extreme Networks provided an upbeat outlook, projecting fiscal Q2 adjusted EPS of $0.16 to $0.20 on revenue ranging from $273 million to $283 million.
