The Japanese animated film "Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc," introduced by MAOYAN Pictures and distributed with participation from China Film Group, officially hit theaters on November 14, including IMAX screenings. According to MAOYAN Pro data, the film "Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc – Upper Rank One, Akaza Strikes Again" scored 9.7 on MAOYAN's opening rating and has so far grossed over 110 million yuan.
A recent Citigroup research report initiated a 30-day positive catalyst watch on MAOYAN ENT, driven by the scheduled November 14 release of the major animated film "Demon Slayer," for which MAOYAN serves as the distributor. Citigroup expects "Demon Slayer" to become the highest-grossing Japanese animated film in China, projecting box office revenue of 1 billion yuan. The estimated profit contribution could range between 108 million and 200 million yuan, compared to Citigroup's adjusted 2025 net profit forecast of 542 million yuan for the company.
