At the Intelligent Electric Vehicle Development High-Level Forum (2026) held from April 11 to 12 at the China National Convention Center Phase II in Beijing, Xiao Beibei, Vice President of Unity China, delivered a speech. The forum's theme focused on advancing the intelligent, green, integrated, and international development of new energy vehicles.

Xiao noted that Unity has served 60 automobile manufacturers and over 300 mass-produced vehicle models. Currently, Unity is driving the transformation of vehicle cockpits from being mere collections of applications into proactive, empathetic 3D spatial intelligent agents through the deep integration of AI Agent and real-time rendering. This evolution shifts the car’s interface from a cold operational tool into a warm, interactive driving companion.

She emphasized that integrating AI Agent with the Unity engine fundamentally upgrades the cockpit from a tablet-like device for installing apps into an intelligently proactive service space. The AI Agent is responsible for understanding user intent and task planning, while Unity handles visual rendering and feedback. The two interact in real-time via standardized communication protocols, incorporating both long-term and short-term memory to enable the vehicle system to better understand users over time.

Xiao stated that Unity’s goal is to transition smart cockpits from a focus on stacking functions to prioritizing user experience. By merging rendering and AI technologies, the company aims to create 3D spatial intelligent agents that are capable of sensing, reasoning, and empathizing.
