NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang is set to throw the ceremonial first pitch at a South Korean baseball game in Seoul this weekend.

The Doosan Bears of the Korea Baseball Organization announced on Thursday that Huang will perform the opening ceremony for their game against the Kiwoom Heroes at Seoul's Jamsil Baseball Stadium at 5 p.m. local time on Sunday.

The Doosan Bears stated that Huang will wear a team jersey with the number 93, a figure chosen to commemorate the founding year of his chip company, 1993.

The team added that Doosan Group Chairman Park Jung-won will step into the batter's box wearing a jersey with the number 96, a reference to the group's founding year; Park is also the owner of the baseball team.

Huang is expected to arrive in South Korea as early as Thursday evening and will hold multiple meetings with local business executives, industry insiders, and students. Huang is known to be a baseball enthusiast and has previously been invited to throw ceremonial first pitches at professional baseball games in Taiwan and in the U.S. Major League Baseball.
