Tmall and Changan Automobile have officially entered into a cooperation agreement, unveiling the inaugural model under the "Premium Selection" initiative: the Changan Qiyuan New Q05 Laser Extreme Intelligence Edition. The announcement was made during the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.
The vehicle, positioned as the top-tier variant in its series, offers two driving range options: 405 km and 506 km. It is equipped with additional features including a lidar system paired with a Horizon Journey 6M chip, a 4-nanometer automotive-grade cockpit chip, a crystal purple interior color scheme, and standard CATL battery cells. The overall configuration represents a further upgrade compared to the new Qiyuan Q05 model released earlier.
Tmall will utilize its brand flagship store sales model, enabling customers to complete the entire purchasing process—from browsing and selection to ordering and final payment—online.
Furthermore, Tmall revealed a "10 Billion Yuan Vehicle Subsidy" program based on the "Premium Selection" initiative. This plan provides additional subsidies on top of existing brand discounts, structured across three tiers: direct subsidies on the final vehicle price, exclusive benefits for purchases made through Tmall's channels, and configuration upgrades for co-developed custom models.
Using the newly launched Changan Qiyuan New Q05 Laser Extreme Intelligence Edition as an example, the manufacturer offers a subsidy of 5,000 yuan, which Tmall matches with an additional 5,000 yuan subsidy. Customers will also receive a 5,000 yuan Tmall red envelope with no usage restrictions after purchase, resulting in total savings of 15,000 yuan.
As the exclusive sales platform, Tmall is offering a limited-time subsidized price of 89,900 yuan for the 405 km range version (compared to the official guide price of 104,900 yuan) and 99,900 yuan for the 506 km version (official guide price 114,900 yuan). These promotional prices are valid from April 24 to June 20.
The "Tmall Premium Selection" program represents both an IP and a screening standard, according to Yan Zhong, General Manager of Tmall Auto, who spoke at the launch event. The criteria are summarized across three dimensions: superior vehicle sourcing, competitive pricing, and reliable delivery. "Superior vehicle sourcing" requires 100% manufacturer-original products with complete documentation, traceable quality records, and activated official warranties. "Competitive pricing" mandates transparent, all-inclusive pricing with no hidden fees, enabling real-time price comparisons for identical configurations. "Reliable delivery" ensures priority vehicle allocation after order confirmation, 100% qualified pre-delivery inspections, and prompt post-delivery support.
Public data indicates that the Changan Qiyuan New Q05 is positioned as a compact pure electric SUV. Since its launch in November 2025, the model has accumulated over 60,000 orders within five months, with March deliveries reaching 12,600 units.
