The World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2026 is currently underway in Shanghai from July 17th to 20th.

At the event, NetEase (NTES) presented a range of its self-developed AI achievements spanning industrial embodied intelligence, enterprise digital services, and digital lifestyle applications.

Industrial Robotics Showcase

In the industrial sector, NetEase's embodied intelligence brand, NetEase Lingdong, featured a live demonstration of an "intelligent cockpit" experience. Leveraging its proprietary industrial large model and "Mechanical Intelligence Core" training framework, the brand has developed core robot products for loading and excavation, targeting challenging and hazardous work environments. Notably, its intelligent cabin-clearing loading robot, a first in the industry, has already achieved batch commercial deployment.

These robotic systems are now operational in over a hundred projects across more than ten provinces in China, covering sectors like mining, energy, and infrastructure. They have safely completed over 700,000 tasks, pioneering three globally original operational modes: human-robot collaboration, one-operator-multiple-machines, and "lights-out" worksites. A key advantage is their ability for rapid deployment without requiring extensive site modifications.

Enterprise AI and Productivity Tools

The company's flagship enterprise product, the upgraded "King Crab" AI Agent management platform, comes pre-loaded with over 200 skill packages for various roles including sales, operations, and customer service. This platform helps companies transform the practical expertise of their top performers into reusable digital assets.

On the development front, the CodeWave SDD enterprise application AI Coding platform generates stable, controllable, and production-ready code. In practical projects, it has reduced the development cycle for a 127-page product requirements document from 60 person-days to just 16 person-days.

For commercial front-end operations, NetEase's AI private domain assistant covers the entire operational chain from strategy generation and execution to insight analysis. The AI customer service has evolved from passively answering questions to proactively executing tasks, achieving intent matching and problem resolution rates exceeding 80%. These solutions currently serve over a million enterprise clients across industries such as consumer goods, manufacturing, and finance.

Consumer AI and Core Model Upgrades

NetEase Youdao showcased its upgraded "Ziyue" large model 4.0 and a full-stack AI Agent application matrix. One offering, LobsterAI, can autonomously understand user needs, plan task sequences, and utilize various tools to complete complex work.

Making its public debut at WAIC, the Youdao OpenPods AI headphones support highly accurate audio transcription, real-time multilingual interpretation, and independent recording/translation for in-person conversations. They can also generate structured meeting notes and to-do lists with a single click.

At the foundational technology level, the significantly enhanced "Ziyue" large model 4.0 shows major improvements in long-document comprehension, multimodal reasoning, and tool-calling capabilities. It also supports speech synthesis in 14 languages.

AI in Music Creation

In the music domain, NetEase Cloud Music has introduced the one-stop AI music creation platform "NetEase Tianyin." Recent upgrades to the platform have integrated core music creation processes like lyric writing, composition, arrangement, vocal synthesis, and distribution. New features include exclusive voice training and one-click publishing. The platform also debuted an industry-first "Inspiration from Music Reviews" creative mode.
