CHINA TELECOM (00728) announced that its extraordinary general meeting has approved the appointment of Mr. Li Huiguang as an independent non-executive director. Mr. Li will also serve as the chairman and member of the board's remuneration committee, as well as a member of the audit and nomination committees. His term will commence on December 16, 2025, and last until the conclusion of the company's 2025 annual general meeting in 2026.
