Industrial Bank's H1 Net Interest Margin Dips to 1.60%, Down 15 Basis Points Year-on-Year

On August 27, according to financial market sources, Industrial Bank Co., Ltd. released its 2026 semi-annual report. During the reporting period, the company achieved operating revenue of RMB 110.177 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 0.25%, with the decline narrowing by 0.81 percentage points compared to the first quarter. In the second quarter alone, operating revenue grew by 0.57% year-on-year.

Among these figures, net interest income totaled RMB 72.804 billion, down 1.29% year-on-year, primarily impacted by declining asset yields and shifts in business structure. The net interest margin stood at 1.60%, down 15 basis points year-on-year, with the decline narrowing by 3 basis points compared to the first quarter. Non-interest net income reached RMB 37.373 billion, up 1.83% year-on-year. Within this, fee and commission net income was RMB 14.201 billion, an increase of 8.61% year-on-year. Affected by financial market volatility, other non-interest net income amounted to RMB 23.172 billion, down 1.93% year-on-year, with the decline narrowing by 0.65 percentage points from the first quarter.
