Bulletin Express09-28

China Starch Holdings Limited conducted an on-market share buyback on 28 September 2026, acquiring 8.00 million ordinary shares at prices ranging between HKD 0.178 and HKD 0.18 per share. The volume-weighted average repurchase price was approximately HKD 0.1788, bringing the total cash outlay to about HKD 1.43 million.

Following the transaction, the company’s outstanding share count (excluding treasury shares) declined by 0.14 % to 5.68 billion, while treasury shares increased to 132.42 million. The overall issued share capital remains unchanged at 5.81 billion shares because the repurchased stock is being held in treasury and has not been cancelled.

The buyback was executed under the repurchase mandate approved on 12 May 2026, which authorises China Starch to repurchase up to 596.45 million shares. Cumulative purchases under this mandate now total 262.52 million shares, equivalent to 4.40 % of the issued share base on the mandate date. No repurchased shares have yet been cancelled, and the company is subject to a 30-day moratorium—until 28 October 2026—on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares.
