The total retail prices of major baijiu products in China's market continued to fall on August 6, according to data collected over the past 24 hours. If one bottle of each major product is sold together as a package, the total price today is 9,825 yuan, down 22 yuan from yesterday, marking a third consecutive day of sharp declines. This is a cumulative drop of 76 yuan from the recent high on August 3, hitting the lowest level in 19 days. Except for Xijiu Junpin, which rose, all other ten products fell. Market sentiment in terminal sales weakened further, with bears firmly in control, suggesting that a low-level recovery may take time.
Today, among 11 major baijiu products, one rose and ten fell, with losers dominating overwhelmingly. On the upside, Xijiu Junpin rose by 7 yuan per bottle, rebounding clearly after a sharp technical drop of 10 yuan yesterday. On the downside, Gujing Gongjiu Gu 20 and Qinghua Lang tied for the largest decline, both falling by 5 yuan per bottle. The former hit a new low since February 2 this year, with its price center moving downward over the past month. The latter suffered a second consecutive decline, falling below the 700-yuan mark and continuing to slide.
Wuliangye Pu Wu Eighth Generation, Wuliangye 1618, Qinghua Fen 20, and Guojiao 1573 all fell by 3 yuan per bottle. Among them, Pu Wu Eighth Generation declined for three consecutive days, with its price retreating to around 780 yuan. Wuliangye 1618 ended its two-day flat trend. Qinghua Fen 20 fell again after stabilizing yesterday, matching its lowest level in a month. Guojiao 1573 turned to decline after a slight rise yesterday, continuing its recent low-level volatility.
Feitian Moutai, Jingpin Moutai, and Yanghe Dream Blue M6+ all fell by 2 yuan per bottle. Feitian Moutai declined for two consecutive days, still in a high-level consolidation phase after its price hike on July 18. Jingpin Moutai recorded a fourth consecutive decline, hitting a new low in nearly a month. Dream Blue M6+ logged a third straight decline, with its wide-ranging volatility pattern over the past month unchanged.
Crystal Jiannanchun edged down by 1 yuan per bottle, matching its lowest level in nearly a month after a slight rebound yesterday.
The daily data is sourced from approximately 200 collection points reasonably distributed across major regions nationwide, including designated distributors, social distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw sampling data reflects actual transaction terminal retail prices over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide objective, scientific, and fully traceable data on the market prices of major baijiu products.
With the launch of the official iMoutai platform, which sells Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle (raised to 1,539 yuan on March 31 and further to 1,639 yuan on July 18), and Jingpin Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle (raised to 2,359 yuan on May 16), the magnetic influence of this new channel on the terminal retail prices of these two products has gradually become apparent. The daily prices follow a weighted calculation rule based on real transaction volumes, incorporating quantifiable prices from this channel into the terminal retail price calculations.
In other significant baijiu industry news, renowned investor Duan Yongping recently commented on the supply-demand dynamics and price trends of Kweichow Moutai Co.,Ltd. He judged that if supply remains tight, Moutai prices may still have limited upside room before year-end, suggesting a "small steps, slow run" approach to price adjustments. Duan expressed agreement with the view that iMoutai provides an official, authentic purchasing channel for consumers, and noted that a more appropriate price should be close to supply-demand equilibrium, as the previous product scarcity was abnormal.
