MEITU Reports Q1 Metrics: Global Subscriber Base Exceeds 17.9 Million, AI Productivity App ARR Reaches Approximately RMB 580 Million

MEITU has released its business data for the first quarter of 2026. As of March 2026, the number of paying subscribers increased by 30.2% year-over-year to over 17.9 million, setting a new record high. Within this total, paying subscribers for productivity applications grew by 52.9% year-over-year to 2.34 million, while paying subscribers for lifestyle scenario applications increased by 27.4% year-over-year to 15.56 million.

In the first quarter of 2026, revenue from imaging and design products, which is primarily generated from paid subscriptions, reached RMB 852 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 34.3%. Other business segments remained generally stable. Within the imaging and design product revenue, lifestyle scenario applications accounted for 82% of the total, growing 35.5% year-over-year, while productivity applications accounted for approximately 18%, growing 45.4% year-over-year.

In this announcement, MEITU disclosed its Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) metric for AI productivity applications for the first time. As of March 2026, the ARR for AI productivity applications was approximately RMB 580 million, an increase of 56.2% compared to the previous year.

Furthermore, MEITU is actively expanding its business model. In addition to the subscription model, users can now flexibly purchase additional AI computing power points based on usage needs or make individual feature purchases.

In March 2026, the consumption amount of AI computing points for MEITU's imaging and design products, calculated based on actual user usage, increased by 59% compared to December 2025. Productivity applications were the primary drivers of this growth, with KaiPai increasing by 360%, RoboNeo by 316%, MEITU Design Studio by 107%, and Vmake by 78%.

MEITU stated that this growth is attributed to the deepening user engagement with AI functionalities following the gradual integration of AI Agent capabilities into its products, which has driven rapid growth in overall demand and usage volume.
