The 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of Sichuan Province has been released. The plan proposes enhancing the development capacity of Chengdu's National New Generation Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Development Pilot Zone and Application Leading Zone, while improving core competitiveness in specialized sectors. It will promote the construction of a national pilot base for AI industry applications.

The province will accelerate the development of large model training grounds and embodied intelligent robotics training grounds, and explore building specialized training facilities for other AI subfields. Sichuan will coordinate efforts in computing infrastructure construction, model algorithm development, and the supply of high-quality data resources. Focusing on key industries and areas of distinctive advantage, the province will develop high-quality industry-specific datasets and AI corpora, actively integrating into the national data resource system.

An initiative to empower new industrialization with artificial intelligence will be implemented, promoting innovative development of new smart terminals. The plan calls for the tiered cultivation of smart factories and the creation of future factories. The province aims to establish a group of innovative industrial clusters and nurture a number of leading chain-master enterprises in specialized market segments.
