On August 29, it also announced the Wuhu Gotion 20GWh new energy battery base project, with a total investment cap of no more than 4 billion RMB, adopting a phased construction model with plans to complete it within 24 months from the start. On August 11, Gotion's subsidiary Hefei Gotion Jitai Mei signed a partnership agreement with the Hefei Lujiang High-tech Zone for a small power battery project, marking a step into the small power market and creating a third growth engine for Gotion High-Tech.

Furthermore, according to its half-year report for 2025, the company is simultaneously advancing four major projects, including the Gotion new station with an annual production capacity of 20GWh, the Liuzhou Gotion to add a new 10GWh battery production base (phase II), the Slovakia new energy battery super factory, and the Morocco new energy battery production base. These projects have a total planned capacity exceeding 100GWh. Compared to Gotion High-Tech’s total shipment volume of 63GWh in 2024, the scale of its expansion is evident.

The driving force behind Gotion High-Tech’s large-scale domestic and international expansion is twofold: on one hand, there is an explosion in demand in the power storage sector. For the power sector, the domestic installed capacity of power batteries in the first three quarters grew by 39% year-on-year. Concurrently, data from the Qidian Research Institute (SPIR) shows that global shipments of lithium batteries for energy storage reached 315.8GWh in the first half of 2025, marking a year-on-year increase of 98%. As a leading global battery enterprise, Gotion High-Tech has exhibited remarkable performance, becoming one of the fastest-growing companies among industry leaders.

In the first half of 2025, Gotion High-Tech shipped approximately 40GWh, reflecting a year-on-year increase of over 48%. The company noted that product demand remains strong, production arrangements are favorable, and capacity utilization rates are high, projecting continued growth in shipments for the year. In terms of installed power batteries, Gotion has established long-term cooperation relationships with major domestic and international automakers, including Volkswagen, Chery, Geely, and SAIC-GM-Wuling, especially making breakthroughs in high-end models. In the first half of 2025, the proportion of equipped models at the B-class level and above increased to 15%, with an optimized customer structure contributing to growth in installed capacity.
