Anker Innovations Surges Over 6% as Q3 Adjusted Net Profit Climbs 61%, Company Continues to Refine Product Portfolio

Stock News11-04

Anker Innovations (00668) jumped more than 6%, rebounding for a second straight session after hitting a record low of HK$79.05 since its H-share listing on November 2. As of press time, the stock was up 6.41% at HK$91.30, with turnover of HK$25.09 million.

On the news front, Anker Innovations reported third-quarter revenue of RMB 9.535 billion, up 16.96% year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders came in at RMB 559 million, down 27.04% year-on-year, mainly dragged by fair value losses recognized on the company's held trading financial assets during the period. Excluding non-recurring items, net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 840 million, up 61.23% year-on-year.

Because Amazon's Prime Day was moved up from July to June, the company's third-quarter online revenue of RMB 6.039 billion grew only 5.6% year-on-year, a sharp slowdown from the 30.8% growth seen in the first half.

Guolian Minsheng Securities believes that although the company's revenue growth decelerated in the third quarter due to the timing shift of overseas promotional events, its cumulative growth for the year remains rapid, with charging and energy storage leading the pace. Smart audio-visual and smart innovation businesses are also expected to deliver solid performances. Beyond continuously refining its existing product matrix, the company launched its first hearing aid product in the health sector and is advancing its "OneAnker" brand unification strategy. High growth is expected to continue.

Due to the share price decline of its stake in Southchip Semiconductor Technology, non-recurring gains and losses weighed notably on third-quarter results. However, gross margin and the sales expense ratio both improved, the company managed exchange rate fluctuations well, and its adjusted net margin performed outstandingly.
