Wang Ying Approved as Chairman of CMB-Cigna Life Insurance

On December 19, the Shenzhen Financial Regulatory Bureau announced its approval of Wang Ying's qualification as Chairman of CMB-Cigna Life Insurance Co., Ltd.

On the evening of November 26, China Merchants Fund issued an announcement regarding changes in senior management, stating that Wang Ying would assume the roles of Chairman and Legal Representative of China Merchants Fund starting November 27, 2025. Concurrently, company President Zhong Wenyue would no longer serve as acting Chairman from the same date.

Public records show that Wang Ying, born in November 1972, currently serves as Deputy President of China Merchants Bank (CM BANK), Chairman (Legal Representative) of China Merchants Fund, and Chairman of CMB-Cigna Life Insurance. Wang joined CM BANK in January 1997 and has held various leadership positions, including Assistant President and Deputy President of the Beijing Branch, President of the Tianjin Branch, and President of the Shenzhen Branch starting January 2022. She was appointed Assistant President of CM BANK in February 2023 and promoted to Deputy President in September of the same year.
