On May 15, a financial news report stated that the topic "User Speaks Out After 1.84 Million Yuan Deducted from Alipay Account" trended online on the evening of May 14. A user surnamed Lan claimed that on the third day after their Alipay account's payment function was disabled, approximately 1.84 million yuan was inexplicably deducted overnight and donated to the "Donate One Yuan, Give Love, Send Nutrition" campaign. Despite seeking resolution for three years, the user has been unable to ascertain the reason for the transaction. Personnel from the involved foundation stated that the funds were used for public welfare purposes and the donation has been fully executed. In response, Alipay issued a statement on May 15, clarifying, "Alipay properly executed the payment instruction authorized from the user's account. As the account in question is suspected of being shared with others, the possibility of involvement in illegal or criminal activity cannot be ruled out. Alipay is currently seeking assistance from the police."
