U.S. stock index futures edged slightly higher on Monday, with S&P 500 futures gaining more than 0.4%.

Memory and chip stocks traded mixed in extended hours. As of press time, Micron Technology rose nearly 0.7% and Nvidia advanced 0.3%, while Intel and TSMC each slipped 0.6%.

Microsoft jumped more than 2% after Michael Burry bought long-term call options on the tech giant expiring in December 2028, stating that a drop to $350 presents a prime buying opportunity.

HP Inc climbed nearly 0.9% after announcing a strategic partnership with OpenAI Frontier to accelerate enterprise AI transformation.
