DRINDA (02865) surged more than 7% in afternoon trading, reaching HK$16.73 with a turnover of HK$39.28 million. The company recently announced on an interactive platform that its perovskite solar cells remain in the R&D phase. However, its Chuzhou facility has successfully produced the first industrial-scale TOPCon-perovskite tandem cell, measuring 210×105mm.
Developed and independently debugged by DRINDA's perovskite team, this breakthrough marks a critical step in the industrialization of tandem cells, demonstrating stable production and small-batch delivery capabilities.
Analysts note that DRINDA currently operates 44.4GW of TOPCon capacity across two production bases in Chuzhou, Anhui, and Huaian, Jiangsu, each with 22.2GW capacity. The Chuzhou facility was among the world’s first to achieve mass production of TOPCon cells. Both plants feature highly efficient smart automation and rapid scalability, with construction completed in just 4-5 months.
The existing production lines also allow for technical upgrades to accommodate new technologies like TBC cells, potentially improving investment returns if TBC achieves mass production.
