China Sanjiang Fine Chemicals Co Ltd (HKEX: 02198) has announced its financial results for the six months ended 30 June 2026, reporting a substantial 117.9% year-on-year increase in net profit attributable to shareholders, which reached RMB 656 million.
The company's total revenue for the period amounted to RMB 9.599 billion, representing a 5.4% increase compared to the same period last year. Earnings per share stood at RMB 0.5686, with an interim dividend of HK$0.10 per share declared.
During the review period, revenue from the ethylene oxide business segment climbed to approximately RMB 1.053 billion, up about 6.5% from the corresponding period in 2025. This growth was primarily driven by a 4.5% rise in average selling prices, complemented by a modest 2.0% increase in sales volume, reflecting stable pricing dynamics and consistent downstream demand.
The gross margin for the ethylene oxide segment improved significantly to approximately 23.6%, up from 14.7% in the first half of 2025. This enhancement was attributed to the group's optimized production mix, coupled with favourable product price spreads and reduced raw material costs.
