Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi stated that Japan will release an additional 20 days' worth of oil reserves starting in early May. Takaichi informed reporters in Tokyo that the second batch of reserve oil, equivalent to approximately 20 days of supply, will begin to be delivered at the beginning of May. While Japan's overall oil reserves remain sufficient, concerns about potential disruptions to oil supply have persisted. Several like-minded countries have submitted requests to share oil reserves, and such requests are being handled on a case-by-case basis.
