At its monetary policy committee meeting on the 27th, South Korea's central bank decided to lift its benchmark seven-day repurchase rate by 25 basis points, moving it from 2.75% to 3.00%.
This adjustment aligned with the forecasts of 14 out of 22 economists surveyed by media, who had anticipated a quarter-percentage-point increase in the policy rate.
