HKEX Announces Forfeiture of Unclaimed 2020 Interim Dividend

HKEX (00388) has issued a formal notice regarding its dividend policy, revealing that unclaimed funds from a prior distribution will be reclaimed. According to the company's Articles of Association, the first interim dividend for the 2020 fiscal year, which was paid on September 15, 2020, and remained unclaimed as of September 15, 2026, will be forfeited and returned to the company's coffers.

The total amount of these unclaimed dividends reaches HK$19.852 million, equivalent to HK$3.71 per share. As of today, this sum has been officially confiscated and reverted to HKEX, marking the conclusion of the claim period for these shareholders. This action aligns with standard corporate governance practices for handling dormant shareholder funds.
