NVIDIA's Accelerated Computing Powers TSMC's Next-Generation Fab Development, Foxconn's Medical AI Enters Clinical Use

NVIDIA (NVDA.US) announced on Monday that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM.US) is leveraging its accelerated computing and AI technologies to drive innovation in semiconductor design and manufacturing.

NVIDIA's CUDA-X libraries and AI models are providing computational acceleration for TSMC's full spectrum of workloads, including lithography processes, transistor and process simulation, advanced process control, and fab operations optimization.

According to an official NVIDIA statement, TSMC is utilizing the NVIDIA Metropolis platform and TAO toolkit to develop a vision AI-based automated defect inspection solution. This approach enhances the detection accuracy of nanoscale defects while reducing the costs associated with repeated data labeling and model retraining.

Separately, NVIDIA stated that Foxconn is deploying its AI technology in healthcare institutions in Taiwan, upgrading the application model from single AI tools to collaborative AI agent workflows. This provides support for clinicians in diagnostic reasoning, medical documentation writing, and treatment process coordination.

In a separate announcement, Foxconn's CoDoctor AI platform, equipped with new AI agents, and the Nurabot nursing collaborative robot, powered by NVIDIA Nemo Claw technology, have officially transitioned from pilot projects to clinical operational deployment.
