GWMOTOR Executes HK$11.07 Million Buyback, Treasury Stock Rises to 12.82 Million Shares

Great Wall Motor Company Limited (abbreviation: GWMOTOR) filed a Next Day Disclosure Return with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 28 August 2026 detailing its latest share repurchase activity.

The automaker bought back 1.39 million H shares on 28 August 2026 through on-exchange transactions at prices ranging from HK$7.86 to HK$8.00, generating a volume-weighted average repurchase price of HK$7.979. Total consideration reached HK$11.07 million. The shares are being held as treasury stock.

Following the transaction, the company’s issued share capital (excluding treasury shares) fell to 2.31 billion shares, down 0.06% from 2.31 billion on 31 July 2026. Treasury shares increased to 12.82 million, while the total number of issued shares remained unchanged at 2.32 billion.

Since receiving shareholder approval for a repurchase mandate on 26 June 2026, GWMOTOR has bought back 12.82 million shares, representing 0.56% of the 2.31 billion shares outstanding at the mandate date. The company is authorised to repurchase up to 230.77 million shares under this mandate.

Under Main Board Rule 10.06, GWMOTOR is subject to a 30-day moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares, effective until 27 September 2026. The board confirmed that all repurchases comply with applicable listing rules and regulatory requirements.
