Nanjing Port Sees Significant Growth in Foreign Trade Containers Last Month

In September, Nanjing Port handled 107,702 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) of foreign trade containers, marking a year-on-year increase of 18.64% and a month-on-month rise of 0.24%.

The container flows were primarily distributed across Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea, South America, and Africa, accounting for 21.57%, 18.61%, 14.14%, 12.58%, 11.55%, and 6.12% of the total volume, respectively.

Notably, the highest growth rates were observed in shipments to Africa, South America, Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea, South Asia, and Europe, with increases of 41.78%, 39.60%, 38.72%, 20.30%, 17.34%, and 15.77% year-on-year, respectively.
