NVIDIA released its fiscal second-quarter results for 2027, reporting total revenue of $96.221 billion, a 106% year-over-year increase, with net profit surging 126% to $59.688 billion and adjusted earnings per share reaching $2.22, up 120% annually.
The data center segment remained the standout performer, generating $89 billion in revenue—a 117% jump from the prior year—which accounted for 92.5% of the company's overall sales.
During the earnings call, CFO Colette Kress disclosed that revenue from H200 products shipped to Chinese customers represented less than 1% of total data center revenue. She emphasized that all shipments to China strictly comply with export license requirements imposed by the U.S. government. Additionally, the company's outlook for the current quarter does not incorporate any revenue expectations from China's data center computing business.
According to earlier reports, NVIDIA's H200 chips have begun entering the Chinese market in small batches. Sources familiar with the matter indicate that ByteDance and Tencent have each received approximately 10,000 H200 processors in recent weeks, with several other Chinese tech firms expected to secure similar supplies shortly.
Although U.S. authorities have approved purchases of up to 100,000 H200 chips per Chinese enterprise, the actual volume cleared for release so far remains limited to small-scale batches, underscoring that overall supply continues to face stringent restrictions.
