The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently published its list of excellence-level smart factory projects for 2026, with seven enterprises from Guangxi making the cut.
Among them, three companies from Liuzhou were successfully selected: Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd., Liuzhou Liugong Excavator Co., Ltd., and Liuzhou Saike Technology Development Co., Ltd.
This marks the latest achievement in Liuzhou's efforts to deepen its manufacturing digital transformation, intelligent upgrading, and network connectivity initiative, as well as its solid progress in building a pilot city for digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Excellence-level smart factories serve as an important benchmark within the national tiered cultivation system for smart factories, representing a relatively high level of intelligent manufacturing development.
The selection of these three enterprises fully demonstrates Liuzhou's achievements in intelligent manufacturing across high-end equipment manufacturing, intelligent connected vehicles, and new energy vehicle industries.
In recent years, Liuzhou has thoroughly implemented its manufacturing digital transformation, intelligent upgrading, and network connectivity initiative, actively exploring distinctive pathways, and continuously carrying out tiered cultivation of smart factories.
The city has adopted differentiated strategies and tiered advancement for three categories of enterprises — leading, mid-tier, and trailing:
It pushes leading enterprises to upgrade and elevate their operations, guiding transformations in manufacturing models; accelerates the transformation and upgrading of mid-tier enterprises, focusing on key areas such as equipment connectivity and production scheduling; and drives trailing enterprises to address shortcomings and improve quality, deepening their presence in niche tracks and cultivating specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative entities.
Through full-chain tiered cultivation, Liuzhou's intelligent manufacturing foundation has been continuously strengthened.
To date, the city has cultivated 172 national-level and autonomous region-level smart factories and digital workshops.
Next, Liuzhou will continue to increase its efforts in cultivating intelligent manufacturing, leverage the demonstration and driving role of benchmark enterprises, promote collaborative transformation across upstream and downstream segments of the industrial chain, continuously expand its base of intelligent manufacturing entities, and support Liuzhou in building its "10+N" modern industrial system.
