Evercore Partners (EVR) stock tumbled 7.36% in pre-market trading following the release of its second-quarter 2026 financial results, which showed a mixed performance with declining profitability metrics despite robust revenue growth.

The boutique investment bank reported net revenues of $990.2 million, a 19% increase from the prior year and well above the IBES estimate of $925.6 million. However, net income attributable to shareholders fell 1.98% to $95.3 million, while diluted earnings per share slipped to $2.32 from $2.36 a year earlier. Operating income declined to $146.6 million from $150.4 million, and the operating margin contracted to 14.8% from 18% in the same quarter last year.

On an adjusted basis, Evercore delivered earnings of $2.91 per share, surpassing the consensus estimate of $2.77. The company also declared a quarterly dividend of $0.89 per share. Despite these positive adjusted figures and the revenue beat, the decline in GAAP profitability and margin compression appear to be weighing on investor sentiment during the pre-market session.
