Domestic 50kg Semiconductor Overhead Hoist Transport Launched, Breaking Japanese and Korean Monopoly in Advanced Packaging Logistics

Deep News06-10 12:41

In a significant development for the domestic semiconductor equipment sector, Suzhou Xinshinor has unveiled its fully self-developed 50kg heavy-load PLP OHT (Panel Level Packaging Overhead Hoist Transport). This marks China's first semiconductor OHT system designed for panel-level packaging, filling a critical gap in the domestic market for high-capacity Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS).

The new Xinshinor PLP OHT boasts a fully-loaded straight-line speed of 180 meters per minute, a positioning accuracy of ±1mm, and vibration control of ≤0.5G. It supports CPS contactless power supply, offers full-process traceability for transported items, and is paired with a Class 10 ultra-high cleanliness standard, comprehensively meeting the stringent requirements of advanced packaging facilities.

The system's Mean Cycles Between Failures (MCBF) exceeds 150,000 cycles, with stability surpassing that of comparable products from leading international competitors. It incorporates multiple protective measures during critical pick-and-place operations.

Currently, Japanese and Korean firms hold a dominant position, controlling over 90% of the global semiconductor OHT system market. Japanese companies Murata Machinery and Daifuku in particular maintain an absolute monopoly. The deep technical expertise and entrenched supply chain relationships these firms have with key customers have been difficult to challenge.

Xinshinor's breakthrough represents the first major opening in this long-standing, highly monopolized market, specifically in the domestic high-payload segment.

Unlike traditional AMHS providers that rely heavily on hardware procurement, Xinshinor has established full-stack in-house R&D capabilities encompassing "Equipment + MCS + TCS + VCS." Its Material Control System (MCS) and Transport Control System (TCS) are deeply integrated, supporting fleet协同调度 and route planning to adapt to the diverse layouts found in back-end packaging and testing facilities.

The PLP OHT has already undergone and passed stable operational validation at an overseas customer's production line. Furthermore, a complete demonstration line has been established at the company's Suzhou headquarters, replicating real-world conditions including轨道, vehicles, and Panel FOUP operating environments.

The launch of this domestically-produced 50kg heavy-load semiconductor OHT provides crucial logistics support for the mass production of high-computing-power devices like AI chips. It signifies a key step forward for China in achieving greater autonomy and control within the field of advanced packaging logistics equipment.
