The Black Cat Complaints platform has released its monthly red and black lists for June 2026, highlighting companies with the best and worst complaint resolution performance. The data is sourced directly from the platform and reflects how companies handle consumer grievances.
By the end of June 2026, the platform had cumulatively received over 36.73 million valid consumer complaints. Companies had responded to more than 28.6 million of these, with over 24.27 million cases resolved. In June alone, valid complaints exceeded 790,000.
To provide a more precise and timely view of customer service performance across different consumer sectors, the red and black lists are categorized by industry. Additionally, "Most Watched Sector" lists are created based on recent trending consumer issues to offer more valuable guidance for shoppers.
Key Issue: Frequent Price Fluctuations and Unfulfilled Price Guarantees During Taobao's 618 Promotion
Taobao Mall, Tmall, 1688, JD.com, and Weidian were placed on the black list for the comprehensive e-commerce sector in June 2026.
A significant number of consumers recently reported issues with the Taobao platform during the 618 sales event. They stated that product detail pages displayed promises like "Price Guaranteed for 618" or "Best Recent Price" at the time of purchase. However, after placing their orders, they found the same items had been discounted by tens or even hundreds of yuan. When they applied for price protection, customer service representatives allegedly used various excuses to evade responsibility and refused to refund the price difference.
Key Issue: Skechers Sneakers Show Significant Peeling and Shedding After Only Two Wears
ZARA, Crocs, New Balance, Coach, and Skechers USA (SKX) were placed on the black list for the apparel and footwear sector in June 2026.
A consumer recently reported purchasing men's sneakers from a Skechers flagship store. After wearing them only twice for short distances, with no rough usage or water exposure, the shoe uppers reportedly experienced large-area peeling, material detachment, and continuous shedding, rendering them unwearable. Despite a high volume of quality complaints, Skechers' complaint response rate for the month remained at 0%.
Key Issue: Yihetang Employee's Cigarette Burns Customer, Dismissed as "Not Serious"
Yihetang, Liu Wenxiang Malatang, NEW Niu Yuebao, Jasmine Milk White, and Shuyi Shaoxiancao were placed on the black list for the food and beverage sector in June 2026.
A consumer reported visiting a Yihetang store to purchase a drink. Two staff members were outside hanging a banner, and one was smoking, delaying order fulfillment. When the consumer reminded them of the pending order, the staff member moved to make the drink but flicked a cigarette ash onto the consumer, causing burns to their hand and clothing. Afterwards, the staff member only briefly wiped the clothing, provided no first aid for the burn, claimed the injury was not serious, and failed to offer a reasonable solution. Yihetang received 35 complaints in June, none of which were effectively addressed.
Key Issue: Migu Video Membership Not Interchangeable Between TV and Mobile, No Prior Notice
Migu, Wasu TV, Tencent Video, Renren Video, and Quanmin K歌 were placed on the black list for the audio-video and live streaming sector in June 2026.
During the World Cup period, numerous users reported that the Migu Video "Football Pass" membership purchased on their mobile phones could not be used on TV. Upgrading to the "Super Football Pass" still did not enable cross-device access. The platform failed to clearly inform consumers of this limitation before purchase, severely compromising their ability to watch World Cup live broadcasts on a large screen. Migu Video's complaint response rate for the month was 0%.
Key Issue: Paid-for Rented Gaming Account Unusable, Unable to Cancel Order as Xubei Customer Service Unresponsive
Zuhaowang, Xubei, Shanhuo Zuhao, Jiaoyimao, and the 7881 Online Game Trading Platform were placed on the black list for the game trading platform sector in June 2026.
This month, a consumer reported to Black Cat Complaints about an issue with the Xubei account rental platform where customer service was unresponsive. The consumer stated that after payment, they were immediately prompted for facial verification upon logging into the rented account, preventing normal gameplay. Subsequent attempts to contact the account owner were unsuccessful, and requests to customer service to cancel the order went unanswered from start to finish, indicating extremely poor and perfunctory service.
Key Issue: SAIC Volkswagen Passat's Original Hankook Tires Crack at Low Mileage and Short Age
SAIC Volkswagen, IM Motors, GAC Toyota, Tesla, and FAW-Audi were placed on the black list for the automotive sector in June 2026.
This month, multiple consumers reported on the Black Cat Complaints platform that the original Hankook tires on their purchased SAIC Volkswagen Passat models developed severe cracking at low mileage and within a short period of ownership. One owner reported that all four tires showed extensive crazing after less than two years of ownership and only 20,000 kilometers driven. Another vehicle showed multiple cracks on the tread and sidewall after traveling less than 10,000 kilometers. The owners primarily used their vehicles for city commuting, with no aggressive driving or poor road conditions, leading them to question potential defects in the tire rubber compound or manufacturing process. After contacting 4S dealerships and the tire manufacturer, some were denied compensation with reasons like "does not meet claim standards" or "natural aging." Other owners reported being given the runaround after complaining, with their issues remaining unresolved.

Finally, Black Cat Complaints reminds all consumers:
The platform assists consumers in resolving disputes without charging any fees. Any party claiming to be the official platform or a partner and requesting payment to resolve a complaint is engaging in impersonation and fraud. Consumers are urged to stay vigilant and promptly report such accounts to the official platform and the police.
After filing a complaint on the Black Cat platform, the dispute resolution process involves direct communication between the consumer and the company in question. The Black Cat platform will not have customer service personnel proactively contact users to assist with refunds. Please use official channels to resolve consumer disputes. Do not trust third-party agencies or individuals offering to handle refunds on your behalf to avoid being scammed. Report any fraud to the police immediately.
Official channels for consumers to file complaints are:
The "Black Cat Complaints" official website (https://tousu.sina.com.cn/)
The "Black Cat Complaints" mobile app (download from official app stores)

If you discover impersonator accounts, please send their information to the official Black Cat email: heimaotousu@vip.sina.com
To prevent personal information leakage and fraud, please note the following:
1. Before submitting a complaint, carefully check if your complaint text or image evidence exposes personal information such as your name, contact details, address, order number, or courier tracking number. If submitted images contain private information, obscure or blur them beforehand.
2. Use official channels to resolve disputes. Do not trust dispute resolution methods, contact information, or accounts claiming to be staff provided via private messages or comments on the platform. Do not casually add strangers via QQ or WeChat. Be especially wary of claims like "payment guarantees priority handling" or "special channels to help process refunds."
3. Do not provide strangers with your bank card number, password, ID number, verification codes, or similar information. Never transfer money via QR codes or unfamiliar links. Guard against fraud and report it to the police promptly.
4. Be highly cautious of incoming calls starting with "00" (international prefixes) and do not easily trust the displayed caller name.
5. After a legitimate company's customer service resolves a complaint, refunds are typically processed through the consumer's original payment channel. If the other party requests a refund through other channels like QQ, Alipay, WeChat, or website links, be vigilant. Avoid providing personal information or making transfers for所谓的 "unfreezing fees," "verification fees," or "security deposits."
To focus resources and efforts on better serving consumers, Black Cat Complaints currently only accepts complaints related to actual consumer disputes. Your understanding and support are appreciated.
