The Mayang Miao Autonomous County Internet Information Office recently identified a subpage on the local "Mayang Information Consulting Center" website containing links to pornographic and harmful content during its routine online patrols, which disrupted the local cyberspace environment.

Following an investigation, it was determined that the website operator had failed to strictly implement its primary cybersecurity responsibilities, demonstrating lax daily operation and maintenance management, an inadequate content review mechanism, and a failure to meet network information security management requirements by not promptly identifying and handling the non-compliant and harmful information on its pages, leading to a negative online impact.

To further advance the governance of the local online ecosystem, continuously purify the network environment, and effectively strengthen cybersecurity barriers, the Mayang Internet Information Office, in conjunction with the county public security bureau's cybersecurity unit, conducted a formal interview and warning with the website's responsible person, Mr. Chen, in accordance with laws and regulations including the Cybersecurity Law of the People's Republic of China, the Administrative Measures for Internet Information Services, and the Provisions on the Governance of Online Information Content Ecology.

During the interview, authorities seriously pointed out the management loopholes in the website's operation, ordering a comprehensive self-inspection and correction, a thorough investigation and rectification of cybersecurity risks, and the establishment of a long-term management mechanism to prevent the recurrence of similar issues.

Currently, the website has completed the removal of all harmful information and is conducting a full-site content review and cybersecurity risk investigation, with all rectification measures implemented.

Moving forward, the Mayang Miao Autonomous County Internet Information Office will continue to intensify patrols and rectification efforts within the local cyberspace, carry out regular specialized governance of the online ecosystem, strictly enforce and reinforce the primary responsibilities of various online platforms, and urge operators to improve their content review, security prevention, and daily operation and maintenance management systems, aiming to foster a wholesome, safe, and clear local online environment.
