China's Newly Connected Wind Power Capacity Reaches 38.62 GW in First Half of the Year

The latest power statistics for the first half of the year have been released. As of the end of June, the nation's total installed power generation capacity reached 4.04 billion kilowatts, marking a year-on-year increase of 10.8%.

Within this total, solar power capacity stands at 1.27 billion kilowatts, up 15.8% compared to the same period last year. Wind power capacity has reached 680 million kilowatts, reflecting an 18.5% year-on-year growth.

From January to June, the country added 38.62 gigawatts of newly connected wind power capacity to the grid. This figure represents a decrease of 13.94 gigawatts compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.

During the same six-month period, the cumulative average utilization hours for national power generation equipment was 1,392 hours. This is 113 hours lower than the figure recorded in the first half of the previous year.
