China Vanke Co., Ltd. (02202.HK) announced that its Board, at the 36th meeting of the twentieth session, approved the appointment of Huang Yu as president. The term begins immediately and will run until the current Board session ends.
Huang Yu, born in 1974, holds a Doctor of Management and is a senior accountant. His academic credentials include a bachelor’s degree in economics from Xiamen University (1994), an MBA from Tongji University (2004) and a doctorate in management from Dongbei University of Finance & Economics (2022). From March 2017 to February 2024, Huang served as chief accountant, deputy general manager and Party Committee member of Shenzhen Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. Between February 2024 and June 2026, he was deputy director of both the Office of the Financial Affairs Committee of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee and the Shenzhen Municipal Financial Regulatory Bureau.
The Remuneration and Nominating Committee confirmed Huang’s eligibility, noting full compliance with relevant regulatory and corporate governance requirements. His compensation will follow China Vanke’s remuneration framework for directors and senior management, with the specific amount to be disclosed in the company’s annual report.
The company stated that Huang has no relationships with existing directors, senior management or substantial shareholders, holds no other positions within the China Vanke Group, has not served as a director of any other listed company in the past three years, and owns no shares or related securities of China Vanke or its affiliates.
As of the announcement date, China Vanke’s Board comprises non-executive directors Huang Liping, Hu Guobin and Lei Jiangsong; executive director Wang Yun; and independent non-executive directors Liu Tsz Bun Bennett, Lim Ming Yan and Dr. Shum Heung Yeung Harry.
