Scholar Education Group announced that the trustee of its share award scheme bought 229,000 shares on 13 April 2026.
The transaction was executed on the open market at an average price of HK$1.61 per share, bringing the total consideration to approximately HK$0.37 million. The purchased shares represent about 0.034% of the company’s issued share capital.
Following the latest buyback, the trustee holds 7.38 million shares, equivalent to 1.09% of the total shares outstanding.
Management stated that the current market price materially undervalues the company’s fundamentals, and views the repurchase as an opportunity to accumulate shares for future distribution to selected participants under the existing scheme. The board will continue to monitor market conditions and determine future awards and vesting terms at its discretion.
