Deep News01-29

At the "Salute to the Chinese Economy – Entrepreneurs' Night 2025" gala held in Beijing on January 29, KNOWLEDGE ATLAS Chairman Liu Debing was honored for his contributions. IBM Greater China Chairman and General Manager Chen Xudong, along with CITIC Press Group Chairman Chen Wei, were present to witness the bestowal of this honor.

The tribute speech highlighted a group of explorers who fear no hardship and dare to aim high, acknowledging KNOWLEDGE ATLAS for its extraordinary efforts and profound accumulation in fundamental AI research and core technologies. At the crossroads of technological pathways, they rejected the simple strategy of following others and instead chose the more challenging path of independent research and development. From open-source models repeatedly topping international leaderboards to technological achievements serving global developers and enterprises, KNOWLEDGE ATLAS has demonstrated with solid technological footprints that China's AI innovation has the capability to define the cutting edge and participate in global competition and cooperation.

Chen Xudong stated that the first large model he ever used was from KNOWLEDGE ATLAS, which was also China's first large model launched for the market. He expressed his hope and best wishes for KNOWLEDGE ATLAS to achieve even greater success on its future path.

Chen Wei conveyed his hope that in the new wave of technological advancement, China's most outstanding entrepreneurs and tech business leaders will always be present.

In his acceptance speech, Liu Debing reflected that KNOWLEDGE ATLAS started from a laboratory at Tsinghua University and has progressed to its current state, truly moving from industry into the market, all thanks to a group of people committed to long-term, persistent investment.

He mentioned that enabling machines to think like humans has been the direction chosen by the KNOWLEDGE ATLAS team since its very first day, a vision that its members have persistently pursued.

"The 'Z' in KNOWLEDGE ATLAS is the last letter of the alphabet, symbolizing the ultimate realm. We hope to reach the ultimate state of intelligence in our exploration of AGI. I thank the team for their professionalism, patience, and long-term dedication," he said.

The following is a transcript of Liu Debing's speech: Hello everyone, I am Liu Debing, Chairman of KNOWLEDGE ATLAS. I am very happy to receive this honor, which I believe truly belongs not just to me personally, but more so to the entire KNOWLEDGE ATLAS team.

KNOWLEDGE ATLAS began in a Tsinghua University laboratory and has come this far, making the real transition from industry to market, all driven by a group of people dedicated to long-term, persistent investment. This commitment, which some might even call stubborn, to make machines think like humans, has been the direction chosen by the KNOWLEDGE ATLAS team since day one, the enduring vision that its people consistently strive towards.

In 2021, we launched our own algorithmic architecture, GLM. Then this year, the release of our GLM 4.7 has enabled our models to rank among the world's leaders, laying a solid foundation for our push towards AGI.

The 'Z' in KNOWLEDGE ATLAS is the last letter of the alphabet, representing the ultimate realm. We hope to reach the ultimate state of intelligence in our journey of exploring AGI. Thanks to the team's professionalism, patience, and long-termism, I once again dedicate this honor to the team. The road ahead is still long, and we will continue to work hard. Thank you all.
