The China Light Industry Federation has officially announced the revocation of the third "China Winemaking Master" title, a decision that directly affects 41 industry professionals, including senior management from Kweichow Moutai Co.,Ltd. (SH: 600519). The announcement, published today, states that the move is part of efforts to strictly implement relevant regulations and standardize order within the industry.

Following an internal review and deliberation, the federation decided to cancel the honorary titles that were jointly awarded with the China Alcoholic Drinks Association in 2021. All relevant organizations and individuals are now prohibited from using these titles in any promotional or publicity activities moving forward.

The third edition of the "China Winemaking Master" selection was originally conducted in 2021 as an industry-specific, enterprise-level, and non-social recognition program. It was not until 2023 that certificates were officially issued to the 41 honorees, responding to requests from participating enterprises.

The complete list of those whose titles have been revoked includes notable figures such as Wang Li and Wan Bo from Kweichow Moutai Co.,Ltd., along with representatives from major distilleries nationwide. Other affected individuals come from prominent companies like Yibin Wuliangye Co., Ltd., Luzhou Laojiao Co., Ltd., Shanxi Xinghuacun Fenjiu Factory Co., Ltd., and Jiangsu Yanghe Brewery Joint-Stock Co., Ltd.

The revoked list also spans other well-known beverage manufacturers, including Tsingtao Brewery Co., Ltd., Beijing Yanjing Brewery Co., Ltd., and several major liquor producers such as Sichuan Langjiu Co., Ltd., Sichuan Jiannanchun (Group) Co., Ltd., and Anhui Gujing Distillery Co., Ltd. The decision marks a significant regulatory action aimed at cleaning up industry credentials and ensuring compliance across China's alcoholic beverage sector.
