Chifeng Jilong Gold Mining Co., Ltd. (600988.SH) and Xiamen Tungsten Co., Ltd. (600549.SH) have recently disclosed simultaneously that their joint venture, Xiamen Chijin Xiawu Metal Resources Co., Ltd., has decided to halt operations at its rare earth project in Mengkang County, Xiangkhouang Province, Laos.
The decision to suspend the project marks a coordinated move by the two A-share listed companies, reflecting their strategic assessment of the current operational conditions in the region.
