Bank of China to List Portion of $40 Billion Medium-Term Note Program on HKEX

On December 11, Bank of China announced that its Hong Kong branch, as the issuer, will issue two tranches of notes under its $40 billion medium-term note program. These notes have applied for listing and trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX).

The two tranches include: 1) A $300 million floating-rate note maturing in 2028 (Code: 40024), and 2) A HK$1.5 billion note with a 2.85% coupon rate maturing in 2027 (Code: 40025).

The listing and trading application is exclusively for professional investors as defined under Chapter 37 of the HKEX Listing Rules. Approval is expected to take effect starting December 12, 2025.
