China Agrees to Dutch Delegation Visit for Semiconductor Talks

Deep News11-09

China has agreed to a request from the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs to send officials for discussions regarding the Nexperia semiconductor issue, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce stated on the 8th.

The response came after a journalist inquired about recent remarks made by Dutch Economic Minister Micky Adriaansens on social media concerning Nexperia. The spokesperson noted that while China has taken note of the Dutch minister’s statement on November 6, no concrete actions have yet been observed from the Netherlands to cease infringements on the legitimate rights of Chinese companies or restore stability to the global semiconductor supply chain.

China, demonstrating responsibility toward global semiconductor supply chain stability and security, announced exemptions for qualified exports on November 1. The spokesperson emphasized that the root cause and responsibility for the current disruptions in the semiconductor supply chain lie with the Dutch side.

The spokesperson urged the Netherlands to move beyond verbal commitments and promptly propose constructive solutions with tangible actions. These should include swiftly and effectively restoring supply chain stability at its source, ceasing administrative interference in corporate affairs, and facilitating an early resolution to the Nexperia issue. China has agreed to the Dutch delegation’s visit for further consultations.
