Hainan Airport Group Plans Over 200,000 Flights for Winter-Spring Season

According to a report from Hainan Airport, starting from October 26, the national civil aviation sector will enter the winter-spring season, which will last until March 28 of next year. Hainan Airport Group, a subsidiary of Hainan Holdings, expects to operate over 200,000 flights in the new season, with an average of 9,136 flights planned per week and 414 routes connecting 333 cities.

This includes Haikou Meilan, Sanya Phoenix, and Qionghai Bo’ao airports, which are projected to handle approximately 177,500 flights throughout the winter-spring season, averaging 7,910 flights weekly across 334 routes to 247 cities. This reflects increases of 14.6%, 17.0%, and 9.8% respectively compared to the 2025 summer-autumn season.
